MINUTES of the Annual General Meeting of Bobbington Parish Council held on Wednesday 16th May 2007 at 7.30pm in the Gospel Ash Methodist Church Room.
Present: Councillors: N Jones, Mrs. D Kellett, D Kimbley, Mrs. J Tudor, W J Snelson

1. Apologies
Apologies for non-attendance were submitted on behalf of County Cllr. B Edwards, Cllr. Trevor Rees
2. Declarations of Interest
There were no declarations of Interest.
3. Presentation of Citizen of the Year Award
This was postponed to the June Parish Council Meeting.
The Clerk had received a letter from Mrs. Snelson who had requested that the award be presented to Bobbington Flower Guild. Mrs. Snelson will attend next months meeting as a representative of the Guild.
4. Election of Chairman
Councillor Rees was proposed by Cllr. Snelson and seconded by Cllr. Kimbley. There being no further nominations Councillor Rees was re-elected.
5. Election of Officers
Cllr. Kimbley was proposed by Cllr. Mrs Kellett and seconded by Cllr. Snelson.
Agreed to remain as Cllr. Snelson, Cllr. Kimbley and Cllr. Mrs. Tudor.
Cllr. Snelson proposed that Cllr. Kimbley continue, Cllr. Jones seconded this.
Cllr. Mrs. Kellett agreed to continue
It was proposed and seconded that Karin Hampton be asked to continue – Clerk to make contact following meeting. Appointment to be confirmed at the next meeting.

Bill Hayhurst was nominated to continue. Clerk to make contact.
Cllr. Mrs Kellett agreed to continue
It was proposed that Cllr. Rees continue. Appointment to be confirmed at the next meeting.
Cllr. Snelson agreed to take on this role.
Cllr. Snelson agreed to continue. The Clerk was requested to write to Mr Goss at Enville Estates to confirm that Cllr. Snelson would continue to be the Parish Council representative.
RESOLVED that the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting of Bobbington Parish Council held on 18th May 2006, a copy having previously been circulated to each member of the Council, be approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.
The Chairman’s report was read out by Cllr. Kimbley in the Chairman’s absence. A copy of which is filed in the Minute Book.
Karin Hampton was not at the meeting to present this. However, Cllr. Snelson gave a brief report. It was reported that the school have recently had to exclude a 10 year old pupil.
Cllr. Mrs Kellett presented this report, a copy of which is filed in the minute book.
Cllr. Mrs Tudor read a letter of thanks received from a caravan club, who wanted to thank the committee for a beautiful hall – the letter was given to Cllr. Mrs. Kellett to pass onto the Village Hall Committee.
Cllr. Snelson suggested that a Village Hall Lettings agreement be drafted for future lettings. If a list of contents was included this could be checked periodically.
Cllr. Mrs Kellett stated that although Crockery wasn’t checked regularly, the tables and chairs were checked at every committee meeting. She agreed to bring it up at the next committee meeting.
Meeting closed at 8pm.
