Bobbington
Watchdog
Bobbington Post Office has teamed up with Staffordshire County Council Trading standards to become part of the Consumer Watchdog Scheme. Staffordshire County Council Trading Standard’s role is to ensure a fair and safe trading environment in Staffordshire. In delivering the service, Trading Standards is responsible for enforcing legislation aimed at protecting the consumer The most significant of which covers, how goods are described, consumer credit agreements, safety standards of goods including toys and electrical items, overloaded vehicles, the quality of food and drink, weights and measures, and the health and welfare of farm animals.

The initiative will assist the residents of Bobbington by:
1. Giving local residents greater access to the service, should they have a consumer problem that is related to goods or services ,that they have purchased and
2. Enable Trading Standards to identify bogus callers and traders whenever they are active in an area.
